Kelly Maurice is a global private and non-profit sector executive who implements programs for sustainable systemic change, mobilizing stakeholders who are committed to catalyzing private sector investments for public sector initiatives.
Kelly served as Executive Director of the US-based NGO Educando, where she developed Public Private Partnerships (PPP) in the US, Mexico, and Brazil, and managed operational offices in New York City, Mexico City, and São Paulo. Educando works to transform Latin American youth education by delivering world-class training and ongoing support to educators from underserved public schools in Latin America, creating systemic change in education while equipping young people for improved professional opportunities.
During her leadership, Kelly managed governance, fundraising, finance, and the development of its three programs, all compliant with their respective country regulations. She directed a team of up to 50 collaborators in those countries to provide groundbreaking expansion and delivery of practical continuing education programs for public schools. She led the operational execution of the educator training programs that up-skilled teachers in K-12 Science, Technology, Education, and Math (STEM) skills and advanced school principals and coordinators in Educational Leadership and Coaching.
Kelly led the organization to obtain exponential institutional growth, increasing the funding and programs from startup to scale, impacting 12,000 schools, 16,000 educators, and 6.4 million students. This she accomplished by negotiating program-based partnerships with state governments, nonprofits, foundations, individual donors, and corporations with which she garnered multi-year relations, which included Shell, GE, Bloomberg, Moody's, Boeing, Embraer, Credit Suisse, and JPMorgan, among others.
In addition to the global reach of her extensive work in the nonprofit sector, Kelly has worked in the corporate financial sector with Chase, Bank of Boston, and Royal Bank of Canada, where her business responsibilities included team building, strategic planning to execution, project management, new business development, customer relationship management (CRM), and international relations.
