First and foremost I love kids and truly believe you can't teach them, until you reach them! I always try to connect with my students and show them that I believe in them and care about them. I have been an elementary educator for fourteen years.
I worked as a Reading Interventionist for three years and have been a Kindergarten Teacher for eleven years. I am passionate about educating the whole child, meeting students where they are at, play/project based learning, and using data to drive instruction. I am proficient in balanced literacy approaches and multi-sensory phonics based reading instruction.
I have experience using many different types of assessments and am very eager to learn new teaching strategies.
