Kyle DeHaan

After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science in Actuarial Science, I found myself succeeding in the mortgage finance industry. I thrive in the fast-paced analytic environment. I have learned to underwrite using many different client overlays, FNMA, FHLMC, and Jumbo products.

I worked my way through college at a restaurant starting as a busser and was a manager by the time I graduated. Shortly after graduating I began working in the mortgage finance industry. I worked for United Wholesale Mortgage underwriting files and quickly moved into a senior position.

I mentored many new underwriters and was part of the initial rollout of our Jumbo product. When I changed companies to Computershare, I was part of a team that launched a new client. I was in charge of creating an underwriting template that was used in tandem with every file review as well as helping in designing our procedure guide which showed our companies overall guide to the mortgage finance process.

These projects lead me to become a new manager when our team expanded. I was responsible for a team of 10 underwriters and their training, loan escalations, and delegation for our client.

At Michigan State University I earned a bachelors of science in actuarial science. I also studied many computer science and economics courses.
