During my tenure at Korea Airports Corporation, a public enterprise under South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, I managed both airside and landside operations across regional airports. My responsibilities included overseeing essential ground service programs such as de-icing, lavatory system management, and fuel storage compliance. I successfully led a $60 million water infrastructure improvement project, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Operating an airport delivers critical transportation benefits but also requires thoughtful management of environmental impacts—ranging from aircraft noise and air/water quality to hazardous materials and waste. I led annual environmental programs totaling over KRW 60 billion (~$50 million USD) to mitigate aircraft noise in noise-sensitive communities. These initiatives included installing soundproof windows, subsidizing utility costs, and enhancing public facilities—strengthening community relations and enabling sustainable airport operations.
My expertise in environmental impact mitigation, airside operations, and inter-agency coordination equips me to uphold high standards of safety, sustainability, and service. Currently, I am also undergoing pilot training at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (KFTW), where I’ve gained firsthand experience in traffic patterns, ATC communications, and U.S. general aviation systems. Cross-country flights have allowed me to use FBO services directly—including fueling, crew lounges, and flight planning support—further deepening my appreciation of the essential role high-quality ramp services play from a pilot’s perspective.
