I am a former newspaper journalist transitioning into a full-time special education teaching role. I am pursuing a master's in the expedited clinical teacher (ASD) program at Western Michigan University, which Michigan Talent Together sponsors.

I have worked as a building substitute at Wayne RESA's Burger Baylor School for Autistic Children and in long-term roles with Romulus Community Schools.

I worked in the newspaper field as an award-winning journalist for The Observer & Eccentric Newspapers, Jackson Citizen Patriot, and The Detroit News. During the past three years, I have been a freelance writer and substitute teacher.
