Lauren Cantillon

I am an elementary school teacher with a cleared credential, and I've been working in Ventura County in CA for the past 7 years. I provide multiple subject instruction in the general education setting and my priority as an educator is to create and maintain physical, social, and intellectual learning environments that foster a climate of community and care for self and others.

I have spent the last 6 years teaching in Ventura County in California. I began my teaching career as a long term substitute in LVUSD, where I had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten, second, fourth, and fifth grade. These long term positions provided me with opportunities to teach alongside exceptional teachers and administrators who I was able to learn a great deal from.

After 2 years of long term substituting, I taught a year of fourth grade, and I am now 3 years into teaching third grade in OPUSD.

I received my Bachelors degree in Communications from University of California Santa Barbara in 2013 and received my M.Ed from Gevirtz Graduate School of Education at University of California Santa Barbara in 2016.
