Petroleum landman and title analyst with over forty-five 45 years of experience acquiring minerals and leases in and around new discoveries, running complete title before making offers. Many of the acquisitions were under existing producing wells, so I have extensive experience running HBP title as well as town lots. Proven negotiator who has purchased and sold over 1,400 mineral deeds and leases across Oklahoma, while managing teams of landmen and consulting with geologists and engineers.

Recently relocated to the Midland/Odessa area to pursue new landman opportunities in the Permian Basin.

Landman & Owner at Minstar Fuel Corporation (1992-08 – Present)

• Identified new oil and gas discoveries and pursued the purchase of minerals and leases in highly competitive areas of Oklahoma.
• Managed a team of in-house and field landmen and administrative staff, and consulted with geologists and engineers.
• Purchased and sold over 1,400 mineral deeds and leases, as evidenced in the county records of Oklahoma.
• Located and negotiated with mineral owners to purchase mineral rights and oil and gas leases, and drafted agreements between grantors, lessors, and Minstar.
• Since 2016, have managed oil and gas properties for Minstar and affiliated owners, including calculating WI & NRI on lease and well proposals, negotiating price per acre on mineral and lease offers, verifying mineral and leasehold interests at the county clerk's office, and performing extensive title curative work.

Senior Acquisitions Landman & Project Manager at Anderson Land Services (2014-03 – 2016-01)

• Acquired oil and gas leases for Occidental Petroleum, and was promoted to Project Manager over a large, multi-county lease play.
• Supervised a team of landmen and coordinated with Occidental's landman on leasing updates and prioritizing tracts of land.
• Located and negotiated with lessors across land owned by ranchers, orchard farmers, and professional companies, meeting with owners personally as well as their attorneys, bankers, and representatives.
• Role concluded when Occidental relocated its operations to Midland, Texas.

Senior Title Landman at Maverick Petroleum (2011-01 – 2014-02)

• Spent 100% of the role running title and supporting a team of landmen with title problems.
• Handled all phases of title work, including run sheets and prepared ownership reports.
• Trained new title landmen.

Contract Landman at Berry Petroleum (2010-03 – 2010-12)

• Ran complete title in Midland County for the majority of the engagement, and spent the remaining time across numerous counties examining various documents, updating ownership reports, and handling title curative.
