I began as a Donor Center Technician responsible for screening individuals by taking vitals and figure sticks to test hematocrit and protein levels. I quickly moved to Phlebotomist, certified, in which I performed venipunctures on a variety of people at different age ranges. I am trained in processing samples as well as plasma material.

Externship via Chicago School of Phlebotomy - LabCorp

During my externship I performed a variety of blood drawing procedures on patients including venipunctures using a 21/23 straight needle or winged infusion. Patients ranged in age from Adult to geriatrics and methods were used for each patient dependent on their need and comfort. Duties also included proper handling of tubes and placement after draw - including into the centrifuge if needed.
Dog Walker, Pet caretaker - Dogs Deserve It

As a part-time dog walker and caretaker, I am responsible for walking and providing medication to animals as requested by their owners. This involves maintaining good communication with owners throughout the appointment, providing medication to animals as instructed, and following a stringent timeline to ensure pets are cared for during the allotted time frame.
