I incorporate parent volunteers into classroom activities whenever possible, integrate technology and differentiate instructions to engage learners. I implement a variety of assessments to ensure evidence of successful learning and best practices throughout each unit.
Above all, I encourage students to actively participate and to take pride in their achievements. My students enthusiastically participate in activities, develop positive social skills and grow as autonomous individuals. My ultimate goal for my students is that they know what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how it applies to the world beyond the classroom.
I have 5 years of experience teaching KG1 (American Curriculum)
I have 4 years of experience teaching KG2 (American and PYP curriculums)
I taught KG1 at The International School of Egypt for the last 3 years. My students were ages 3.5-5 years old. I collaborated with grade level colleagues to develop our scope and sequence and weekly lessons. I used a variety of instructional methods to meet the learning styles of my students and ensure the children were developing a love of learning. The weekly learning activities included literacy, math, science/S.S, technology, centers, manipulatives, stories, games, songs and crafts.
