My name is Logan Sfeir, and I am an Accounting student at the University of New Hampshire. I originally came to UNH to study finance; however, after taking my first introductory accounting course, I fell in love with the subject and switched my major during my sophomore year. I am continuing my journey in accounting through UNH’s accelerated Master’s in Accounting program, which I am on track to complete in December 2027. My goal is to earn my CPA license and pursue a career in the accounting field. I believe I am a strong fit for public accounting due to my interest in quantitative information and financial analysis.
So far in my career I have worked for a construction company called Modern Construction and Contracting (fall 2020-present). I worked with concrete, painting, drywall, landscaping, and more. Doing this I learned a lot about responsibility and reliability as I had to be awake early in the morning to go to work where my coworkers were counting on me. I also worked as a line cook at Rig a Tony's Italian Takeout (June 2021- March 2023) where it was imperative to be able to work well with the other line cooks as the stations did a lot for one another. As I was working as a line cook I was also working as a Waiter at The Bedford Village Inn (December 2022- January 2025). Working as a waiter really helped me become more personable and charismatic when serving guests.
I am a student at UNH studying accounting and am part of the accelerated master's in accounting program. I love how UNH does a good job of challenging their students and every good grade feel very rewarding. I am also part of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon where I was voting to be our community service chair and diversity, equity, and inclusion chair. As community service chair I organized events to help strengthen and give back to the local community through things like trash clean-ups and fundraising events. As our DEI chair I would organize workshops and goal on how we could be more inclusive and equitable to diversity for things like recruiting.
