Luther Westcott

I am a recent 2023 Finance graduate student from Western Michigan University. I have a passion for Corporate Finance and have used my communication skills for the best interest of my student peers throughout projects and colleagues during my internship.

I have worked in the real world, with real challenges, and getting solutions to these challenges is always very satisfying. Over the past year and a half, I am honored to say that my experiences have made me grow in ways I thought impossible.

I consider myself aggressive, passionate, and a problem-solver. I love getting things done and I take pride in seeing everyone happy with my work.

My expertise includes team management, data analysis and interpretation, and the development and implementation of research tools. I enjoy generating new ideas and devising feasible solutions to broadly relevant problems. My fellow peers would describe me as a driven, resourceful individual who maintains a positive, proactive attitude when faced with adversity.

Currently, I’m seeking opportunities that will allow me to develop and promote leadership and development through a business analyst role. Specific fields of interest include finance, accounting, and management.

Over the past few years I have been exposed to various roles and responsibilities that have helped me develop a skillset that I am confident will be an asset to Crunch Fitness.

While at WMU, I served as a 1st Tier Leader for the MLK Academy. The MLK Academy provides scholarships to students who are first generation or apply to the reduce free lunch program. Tasks in this job included:

• Assisted in academic course review and coaching to freshmen scholars at WMU
• Documented academic and weekly meeting progress reports
• Encouraged diversity and cultural programs through development programs
• Aided in integration into campus life

Another recent role was a Finance Intern for Stryker. This internship took place in Cary, IL and tasks included:

• Generated a 4-year annual P&L on Stryker’s homecare E-Commerce business
• Collaborated with other fellow finance interns on a high-level overview of 10-K
• Developed over 30 connections throughout the company
• Worked with the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll specialist

From the years 2019-2023 I attended WMU and Majored in Finance and Leadership Business Strategy. My coursework ranged from Holistic Health to Financial Investment Analysis. While at WMU I was a member of the Lee Honors College and SBMA program.
