I worked for a HR outsourcing firm for over 10 years. I started as a customer service rep where I learned soft skill, empathy and the importance of time management. I spent some time in the leaves department where I masters FMLA and Short term disability practices.I became a health care advocate that’s where I learned effective email communication, gained a deeper understanding of Medicare, QMCSO, and that I couldn’t always give the customer the resolution they wanted but could provide them with the education they need so they wouldn’t be in that same situation again. This is where I also discovered my passion training and mentoring people. So why not move onto team management. Where I was able to coach, mentor and develop an amazing team of all stars. This led me working with the client management team. I learned everything I could from them. Along with that knowledge and everything I learned over the years I moved into the claims and appeals client manager role. Where I gained a deep understanding of ERISA, learned how to manage multiple clients, new client implementation, how to read sales contracts and so much more.
