As a Crisis Counselor, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, suicidal ideation, substance use challenges, drug relapse, HIV-related prevention, and additional concerns. My work includes answering calls, chats, and texts through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, conducting suicide risk assessments, de-escalating high-intensity situations, developing collaborative safety plans, and providing referrals. I am dedicated to connecting individuals with the resources they need, including behavioral health services, addiction treatment, harm reduction programs, HIV prevention and care, and social services.
I strive to deliver immediate, culturally responsive care that prioritizes dignity, safety, and hope to individuals in crisis.
I further bring a strong foundation in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and harm reduction, with expertise in supporting diverse people and communities. My approach emphasizes active listening, empathy, and clear communication, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and ethical standards. With a commitment to saving lives and fostering recovery, I focus on providing seamless support and guiding individuals toward stability, healing, and long-term wellness.
I have more than 5 years professional experience responding to crisis related calls.
I have earned a law degree and I am currently earning a master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family. I further have Mental Health First Aid, and health and wellness certifications.
