I am a doctoral candidate in Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas, specializing in curriculum development, instructional design, and equitable access to educational opportunities. With extensive experience in both K-12 and higher education, I focus on integrating technology into education to enhance learning outcomes and promote interest and engagement. My research interests include K-12 computing education, digital wellness, and the social impacts of technology.
I actively contribute to professional organizations including the Association of Educational Research Associate (AERA), and the International Society of Learning Sciences.
I am an adjunct professor of computer applications and a graduate research assistant in the Department of Learning Technologies. My professional journey includes roles as a Computer Science and Business Technology Teacher and a Library Media Specialist. I have also taught various computer and business technology courses at different high schools and middle schools.
My expertise includes instructional technology, curriculum design, and educational equity, and I am committed to integrating digital literacy and technology in education.
My commitment to the field of instructional technology and design is evident in my educational journey. I hold an Ed.S. in Media/Instructional Technology and an M.S. in Technology from institutions with a strong focus on educational technology and instructional systems. Currently, I am furthering my knowledge and skills by pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies, with a concentration on instructional technology and design.
