I'm currently a third-year student at Rush University, graduating with my doctorate in occupational therapy on April 29th, 2023. In 2019 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and a certificate in Global Health. My experience includes strong academics, extracurriculars, and professional experiences, including fieldwork placements at Marianjoy Inpatient rehabilitation, Northwestern memorial hospital acute care/outpatient psychiatry, and pelvic floor rehabilitation at Chicago Pelvic Health and Wellness.
I am a natural leader and thrive at solving problems with creativity, energy, and efficiency.
At Rush university, I got the opportunity to work with patients in various clinical settings. I have had experiences in inpatient rehab on the spinal cord injury floor and was also a student clinician at Northwestern memorial hospital with time in the MICU. My time in outpatient rehabilitation has occurred mostly during my capstone experience, where I have worked directly under a physical therapist for the last three months.
During this time, I helped provide patients with orthopedic and pelvic floor care. I also received my certification in pelvic floor level 1 from Herman and Wallace and my pregnancy and postpartum exercise specialist certification. Throughout these experiences, I learned how valuable interdisciplinary care can be to individuals and how holistic and client-centered care is essential to good patient care.
While at Rush University, I received my doctorate in occupational therapy. As an OTD student, I have learned the value of holistic, client-centered treatment while focusing on anatomy, musculoskeletal function, mental health, and functional therapeutic interventions. I have also been an avid leader while at school, as demonstrated by my role as vice president of the student occupational therapy association and as a student member of the OTD admission committee.
I am ending my grad school experience with a 4.0 GPA, and I'm excited to continue learning during my career.
