Miguel Euristhe

I am originally from the virgin islands. I am a Navy veteran and served eight years in the Navy as a combat medic. I have lived in Atlanta for five years and look forward to all the opportunities.

I have worked in a hospital and clinical setting for nine years and with newborns up to geriatrics. I currently work at northside pediatrics and Adolescents as a clinical laboratory technologist where I do as followed.

• Collect blood specimens by venous or capillary methods from age of newborn through young adults.
• Handle blood, urine and stool specimens as required.
• Responsible for all phases of testing, recording, reporting, and notification of all laboratory test.
• Following the lab’s procedures for obtaining specimens, handling and processing, analysis, test reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.
• Adhering to lab’s quality control and quality assurance policies. Documenting all QC activity, instrument and procedural calibration, and instrument maintenance. • Maintaining accurate proficiency testing records to document accuracy of patient testing. • Documenting corrective actions when systems do not fall within the established performance specifications. • Being able to identify problems that may lead to erroneous test results, and be able to correct the problem or notify the supervisor. Supervises and assists in clean-up and disassembly of laboratory equipment. Prepares lab solutions, reagents, and media and/or other laboratory apparatus, as needed to carry out laboratory exercise. Trains and evaluates workers and others, assigned area of responsibility.

I attended Albany State University, received my A.S. in clinical laboratory science, and got my Bachelor's at south college in Physician Assistant. I am attending Morehouse School of Medicine to obtain my master's in Biotechnology.
