Mikaelyn Austin

Responsible for the development and production of multimedia content representing, highlighting and documenting the full range of activities occurring across the Brandywine School District with the goal of advancing the reputation of the District, its schools, programs, students, teachers and staff. Employing creative, artistic, and hands-on technical skills to produce multimedia deliverables from across those disciplines and around central themes to be featured via websites, social media, and all other Brandywine School District communications channels internal as well as external. Works closely with District Leadership Team to discuss, prioritize, and establish timelines for the production and delivery of media production needs.

Develop and present multimedia content ideas, storyboards and proposals to support the District’s internal and external marketing and communications goals. Works closely with the Communications Officer to effectively develop and utilize multimedia content for news coverage and other positive external communications opportunities, and to appropriately deliver multimedia content to the District’s various communications channels (websites, social media channels, etc.)

Establishing all aspects of multimedia production, and to substantiate the necessity for multimedia content in effectively bolstering public awareness of the Brandywine School District. Expanding the scope of the Marketing & Communications department to provide students in the District the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multimedia content production.
