Miriam Mcelwey

I am a recent high school graduate and about to start my first year of college. I have worked as a barista at Starbucks for well over 2 years and am looking for a change in my workplace. I love interacting and working with customers, so I would love to find a job where I can interact with customers and bring joy to their lives. Throughout school I was always a straight A student and taught myself how to be responsible, diligent, and punctual, which are all skills I have been able to bring into my workplace with me. I was also involved in extra curriculars which taught me how to manage my time, be disciplined, and work hard no matter the circumstance. Overall, I am a kind and uplifting person who works well with others and knows how to manage any task that comes my way.

I started working at Starbucks at 16 and it has been my only job ever since. I have excelled and received rewards for my hard work and dedication to my team. I helped in creating a third-place environment for hundreds of customers while memorizing hundreds of drink orders that I produced accurately and in a timely manner. I have been tasked with multiple cleaning responsibilities from wiping down tables to sweeping and mopping the floors on a daily basis.

I graduated class of 2024 from Anna High School as the salutatorian of my class. I had a 4.125 GPA and took all AP or higher-level classes throughout my high school career while maintaining all A's.
