For almost 25 years, the overwhelming majority of the skills I possess have been learned through hands-on experience as part of a two or three-person team, whether earlier at the CPA firm or more recently, deploying and configuring in-house software and database solutions within the Department of State. I take a lot of pride in what my small IT team and I at GR&F have built over my 13+ years there. Going from two servers supporting 50 users to over two dozen virtual servers on an all-SSD SAN with a fiber back-end for 120 users is an accomplishment I remain immensely proud of.

Even working in a different role at DoS, I gained hands-on experience with the newer versions of Windows Servers. The position focused on planning and performing product release updates for over 20 internal applications and services installed on more than 80 servers across over 30 offices and data centers, all accessible remotely.
