Veteran with over 10+ years’ experience with flexibility and transformational learning capabilities.
My educational experience is twofold as a student veteran and an educator. As an educator, I am able to teach at the community college and share my experiences with the local community. I’ve taught classes in person and virtually for Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). Additionally, I’ve also taught basic life skills classes to medical professionals and rehabilitative students.
I know that my educational experience is practical for this environment because I have completed my Doctoral journey and wish to pursue a career in higher education. My professional experience is a mixture of prior military service and higher education. During my military career, I practiced flexibility to adjust in multiple environments and communicated consistently with several stakeholders about policies and procedures.
My professional experience in higher education is seasoned with student empowerment and an obligation to academic excellence. I also use assessments to evaluate performance and progress to enhance overall education experience for goal requirements and student accomplishment. I have a commitment to academic excellence and providing an inclusive climate for life-long learning.
