I am an educator and adjunct instructor with 25+ years teaching and curriculum design experience at the secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels specializing in the fields of social studies education, American history, teacher training, and student mentoring.
I have 25+ years experience as a social studies teacher and curriculum developer. I have taught middle school and high school social studies. I have also designed social studies curriculum including several college readiness courses in the areas of criminal justice, civil rights and diversity, American foreign policy, government and civics, sociology, and American history. I have taught at the university level both graduate and undergraduate education/history courses.
I complete 30+ credits in a M.A. History program at Lehman College. My thesis research is ongoing and is focused on the sexualization of white supremacy from Reconstruction through World War II. I have a Master's degree in secondary education from St. John's University, and an advanced Master's degree in social studies education from Teacher's College, Columbia University. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University.
