Dedicated many years to adult education, working to empower individuals through learning and Career training opportunities. Her passion is centered on rebuilding lives, helping adults gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to create better futures for themselves and their families. Through her leadership and service, she strives to make education a pathway to transformation.
Special skills include program leadership, instructional support, community outreach, and mentoring adult learners. She is committed to creating environments where people feel encouraged, valued, and inspired to grow. Her work reflects a deep belief that education can restore hope and open doors to new possibilities.
14 years of experience with the Fort Worth ISD Adult Education Program, where she managed a $2.1 million WIOA-funded grant annually and supervised approximately 100 full-time and part-time staff. She led the development and implementation of Integrated Education and Career Training (IET) programs, program oversite, built strong community partnerships, and supported services for more than 2,000 adult learners each year. Her work has focused on expanding educational opportunities and helping adults gain the skills needed for career advancement and self-sufficiency.
Nydia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Education from Mississippi Valley State University. She later received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas, further strengthening her expertise in educational administration, leadership, and program development.
