Hello! I am a recent graduate student from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Cognitive Science. I am seeking a Research Assistant position to gain valuable hands on experience in a lab that aligns with my interests and goals.
I want to continue to develop my career in both Neuroscience and Psychological research. I have taken a vast amount of courses throughout my time at UCSC including courses such as Learning & Memory, Cognitive Neuroscience, Brain and Behavioral Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Statistical Methods, and Introduction to Programming to name a few. My senior seminar project was centered around Virtual Reality and how it can be used as a valuable emotion-elicition tool to enhance our ability to study emotions in the lab in an ecological valid and robust way.
I love everything there is to know about the brain and have a passion for helping others. I'm also a tech-enthusiast and have a special interest in immersive technologies and other tools such as BCI to improve our ability to advance treatment for a range of neurological disorders.
I currently work as a Respite Caregiver at Pacific Homecare Services. I also volunteer my time at UC Mentor Collective as a student mentor and at Siena House, a women's homeless shelter. In addition I am the head of Event Planning and Outreach for Psi Chi International Society and a member of a Neurotechnology organization called NeuroTechSC.
