I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated Clinical Researcher seeking to use my experience with Public Health and statistical analysis to contribute to the success of your research team. I have three years’ experience performing cardiovascular studies, specifically in Hypertension research gathering and analyzing data thoroughly on health trends in an effort to educate the working population on health promotion and influence health care policies and regulations. I am also a highly motivated Registered Nurse with more than eighteen years work experience in a variety of settings; from Hospitals to General Practice Surgeries and Offices. My principal areas of nursing expertise are in Managing Health Care, Occupational Health, Nurse Prescribing, and Health Promotion.
I possess excellent knowledge in participating in public health events distributing surveys, patient per-screening against the criteria for enrollment, chart review of patient’s medical records, scheduling patient appointments, educating patients on the clinical trials, interviewing people on public health concerns and conducting focus group discussions and face to face interviews.
I am able to put others at ease and maintain a friendly manner at all times. I am comfortable talking to strangers on the phone and in person. I am a meticulous planner and organizer, adept at tracking and responding to numerous details. I have excellent communication skills which enables me to effectively communicate with a wide range of people. I also have robust data analysis and research articles writing skills. I can work well under pressure and I am able to multi-task and meet deadlines without direct supervision. I have experience in using SPSS to perform data analysis tasks, including finding p-values and creating frequency tables. I am capable of interpreting data sets and translating them to text for research papers.
