I have worked in the Health Information Management field for over 40 years. I have worked in just about everything in HIM, from transcription to Manager. I love everything about HIM and how it is always evolving.
Over 40 years in HIM. I have been a transcriptionist, which I did for many years until I got my RHIT. I have been a supervisor and a manager in HIM. I have had both small and large teams and truly enjoyed both and everything in between. I continue to grow and learn new things in HIM which I feel is necessary as the roles are ever changing.
Rasmussen University and sat for my RHIT in 2014. I am in good standing with AHIMA.
