My name is Reeta Zamro and I am a December 2024 graduate from Dominican University of California with a Master of Science Degree (Physician Assistant), coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of California San Diego. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree in 2018, I began working as a Lead Medical Assistant with Coastal Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology where I supported clinical operations and direct patient care. This entailed supporting dermatology providers with procedures, managing wound care, and assisting with administrative functions of the practice.
During 2024 as I was completing the last year of my Master’s degree, I completed clinical rotations in a variety of settings, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, trauma, and OB/GYN. These experiences allowed me to advance my knowledge of patient care related to diagnostic and treatment skills across diverse medical disciplines. I have showcased my ability to adapt to different clinical environments and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care.

I’m a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, with hands-on experience in both clinical and surgical settings. I recently completed my certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and am currently finishing my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Dominican University of California . I also hold a Bachelor’s in Biology from UC San Diego.
Over the years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions, and I’m proficient in performing minor dermatological surgeries such as suturing, biopsies, and Mohs surgery repairs. Throughout my clinical rotations, I’ve gained valuable experience in specialties including emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and OB/GYN. I’ve also had the opportunity to train directly under fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons, further enhancing my surgical skills.
In my previous role as Lead Medical Assistant at Coastal Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology, I assisted with various dermatologic procedures, administered injections, and provided patient education and post-operative care. I’m dedicated to delivering patient-centered care, and I always prioritize clear, empathetic communication to ensure my patients fully understand their treatment plans and feel supported every step of the way.
I hold a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Dominican University of California, where I’ve gained extensive clinical training and specialized knowledge in dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and OB/GYN. This program has provided me with a strong foundation in patient care, diagnostic skills, and treatment planning. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of California, San Diego in 2018, which provided me with a solid scientific background that complements my clinical training.
