Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Director of IT and Instructional Technology is a key leader responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing support of all district technology initiatives.
- Oversee the reliability, security, and performance of all district technology infrastructure: This includes managing servers, networks (including wired and wireless), phone systems, data centers, and all related hardware and software.
- Ensure the secure and effective operation of critical systems: This includes managing applications such as Exchange, Aruba, CISCO ETD, VMware, security applications (endpoint protection, firewall, etc.), Linewize/Classwize, key fob access, security cameras, and DNS.
- Manage the deployment and support of all district devices: This includes both Windows and Apple devices, ensuring proper device management, software updates, and security measures.
- Maintain and support district-wide computer and phone systems in all buildings.
- Manage the district network, including servers, switches, routers, and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate the district's technology needs with funding sources: This includes working with the Universal Service Fund (E-rate) and other appropriate funding opportunities.
- Manage district copier services.
- Oversee technology vendor relationships, including monthly reviews with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Collaborate with the Instructional Technology Manager, curriculum leaders, and principals to develop and implement digital learning experiences that enhance teaching and learning for all students.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff on the effective use of technology in education.
- Support the integration of technology into the curriculum across all grade levels and subject areas.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in education.
- Serve as a technology resource person for all staff members, including onboarding new staff.
- Directly supervise the IT department staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of the IT team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Address staff concerns and resolve issues within the department.
- Develop and maintain a strong partnership with the Instructional Technology Manager and building principals.
- Conduct an annual review of the department's performance, identify future technology needs, and develop budgets accordingly.
- Ensure the security and privacy of all district data and systems.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Comply with all relevant federal and state regulations related to technology and data privacy.

- Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals by planning and executing corporate IT strategy
- Manages the entire IT Department and personnel of two behavioral health centers, including servers and device management, network infrastructure, electronic laboratory procedures/records, and computer & help desk support.

- Establish, communicate, update and implement IT policies and procedures that cover data access, devices, incident response, and other issues.
- Manages electronic health records, including end-use training and support, account management, continuous improvement of EHR templates, design and implementation of workflows.
- Manages technological risks and ensures regulatory compliance and technology. Supports regulatory examinations (Department of Mental Health, The Joint Commission). Ensures IT operations and infrastructure compliance to regulatory and industry standards.
- Partners with Risk & Compliance to ensure patient personal data integrity and compliance to HIPAA.
- Work closely with COO to support the daily operation that involves IT assistance.

- Provide IT support to the whole organization, including providers, clinical staff, and back-office function personnel. Worked directly with managed service provider to continuously improve services, including management of ticket/incident workflow.
- Designed Electronic Health Record templates and workflow, working directly with providers, Chief Nurse Officer and EHR application provider. Workflow built included laboratory orders, admissions, patient documentation.
- Subject matter expert on EHR/EMR tool, providing trainings to providers and clinical team.
- Network maintenance including regular updates & patching, troubleshooting.
- Assist in various regulatory/compliance exams, including discussions and solution of findings.
