Well, it all started my Junior year in High School when I was introduced to radio through a Media class I was taking. I was an athlete for my high school Dulaney High School and loved sports, but I was always subconsciously interested in media. Ever since that Media Class where my Professor Alex Falbo taught me the fundamentals of radio and video production, I was committed.
My senior year I was awarded the opportunity to have an internship at Morgan State University Radio Station WEAA. So I only went to school till Lunch every day and then I would catch the train to the Morgan State University. Here I would get hands-on experience editing radio commercials, producing shows, and more.
School, I attended Morgan State University and continued to work for WEAA. I was given more opportunities. I become a producer for the Michael Eric Dyson Show and Mark Steiner Show. As I continued my college experience, I became the Morgan State Student Run Radio Station WMUR General Manager.
In this role, I gained experience programming and hosting multiple shows for the School of Communications Students. After I graduated in 2014, I became the Multi Media Director for the Morgan State Library for two years. Created the concept and idea of an interactive Multimedia Center, a space that served students and Staff with Audio and Video services for their classrooms and assignments.
While working as the Multi-Media Director, I was given an opportunity to work for Radio One Baltimore & 95.1 Shine Fm. I worked for both stations for a total of four years. I served the role of Audio Producer for both stations. During this time I went back to Morgan State to complete my master’s degree in journalism and finished in the Winter of 2019.
