Riley Gomez

A student at California State University of Long Beach majoring in Chemical Engineering. Worked five years in retail and am looking to utilize the experience and knowledge I have obtained through my studies and working in laboratory settings in careers in my field of study.

I've worked five years in the grocery store named Stater Bros. continually. I've spend about 1 year working as a courtesy clerk doing regular organization and cleaning in the store while ensuring I do my work efficiently within the time frames I was given to work. I then was asked to promote in the store position due to my excellent work, promoting to the position of meat clerk in the meat department which I've worked more than 4 years in.

As a meat clerk I operated dangerous machinery and cutlery safely with no issue and going through multitasking with many tasks that needed to be done to keep the department operating and continue to perform sales to customers.

I've obtained my Associates in Science at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa and am one semester away from obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University Long Beach (CSULB).

Currently I am enrolled in CSULB with academic good standing in my chemical engineering bachelor's program.
