Robert Buchholz is a highly motivated leader with over 30 years law enforcement experience with positions ranging from New York State Police Trooper to State Police Captain to Albany County Undersheriff. He has managerial experience in both administration and field operations and is knowledgeable in training, planning and research, field supervision and team building.
Robert has worked closely with international law enforcement agencies, most notably the Brazilian Military Police in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, as a consultant and mentor. He was awarded the Alferes Tiradentes Medal by the Military Police for outstanding service; one of very few foreigners to ever receive their highest honor.
Robert holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a US Navy Vietnam-era veteran and a life time member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
