My name is Ryan Martinez. I am a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including construction, drilling and completions, Frac, and pipeline operations.
I have worked on major offshore assets for Shell including the Bonga FPSO, Mars TLP, support vessels, a spool base, and a pipelay ship. I also spent time living and working in Guarapari, Brazil.
Between assignments, I began pursuing my professional certifications and completed five Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) credentials in 2010. I later earned two more while working with Chevron in Angola, Africa.
At Chevron, I gained extensive offshore experience on jack-ups, tender-assisted rigs, workovers, and semi-submersibles. I spent four years based in Malongo Angola, where I led a team of six expats and four national employees. During this time, I also completed my Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
In 2018, I transitioned into a corporate HSE role with a frac company in Houston, Texas. I brought with me what I consider a winning formula for safety success:
