Ryan Myers

When I realized I wanted to become a teacher after a year of self-reflection I knew that I needed to get into the field as soon as I could, so that is what I did. I have been working with children in childcare now for 5 years, and some of those kids are about to start attending High School. I have learned many amazing skills and techniques that have helped me not only excel in my student teaching experience but as an educator to all students. I have worked in numerous fields like retail, restaurant, and coaching, all of which have added to my tool belt of tools I can use to become the best teacher I can be. My goal is to help as many people as possible, and by teaching and being a positive male role model, I have already begun my journey down that road and seen success in students and peers - which only makes me want to get better and better as I go.

Have been working in childcare for 4+ years, student taught at middle school, and substituted at high schools. I have experience working with children from 6 weeks to 18 years+ as well as a variety of skills that help me connect with students and encourage them to succeed.

Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA from West Chester University

History major with a Social Studies teaching certificate minor.

Finished student teaching at Downingtown Middle School in May of 2023 with high praise from both supervising professor and mentor teacher.

2 years of ASL classes.
