As a Lead Teacher in Carbondale I cared for the youngest school children from ages 1-4. I created engaging environments with an emphasis on social-emotional development and wellbeing. I led a diverse classroom of children each year and successfully navigated complicated family dynamics with cooperation and conflict resolution. I used detailed documentation to support growth and learning in addition to communicating with families and coworkers.

At Colorado Wild Public Lands I was able to learn a great deal about public land management and protections. I was required to research different land exchanges between private entities and the federal government, and then disseminate what I had learned to the public through different outreach campaigns. I helped write grant proposals and hosted different events in the community to garner public support for protecting public land access.
