I have experience in Analog VLSI Design
At LeWiz Communications, I got a chance to collaborate with a team to develop the specifications, design and simulate at 5V power supply, a 1 Gbps LVDS Transceiver using open-source tools including SkyWater 130 nm Technology, Xschem for schematic capture and NGSpice for simulation. The project began with the design of a simulation library which had supply voltages and stimuli that modelled real-world sources so as to get a feel of the design characteristics and its behaviour in real-world, pre-fabrication. Various modules incorporated in the design include the Output Driver, Level Shifter, Pre-Emphasis Driver, Common mode Voltage Shifter and Rail-to-Rail Comparator for the Receiver, and their components including Common Mode Feedback Circuit, Current Mirrors, buffers, Error Amplifier, Current Regulator, inverters, XOR gate and AND gate. While debugging the design using SPICE netlists, I got a chance to learn programming in SPICE.
The design works at all PVT corners: TT, SS, FF, SF, FS, in a wide temperature range of –40C to 125C and voltage corners of 4.5V and 5.5V. I now have another experience in Analog VLSI design and documentation of this project including the design characteristics, Schematic PowerPoint, Simulation Results and Simulation Methodology.
