Simone Tallentire

I am currently studying business at Nottingham Trent University and I plan on entering the food and restaurant industry in a management role. I am extremely passionate about food and the creative side of cuisine that can be explored, especially as this contributes to the ability to give a customer a meal they will love and remember. I love the fast-paced environment a restaurant provides.

I find that I work extremely efficiently under pressure, allowing me to showcase my leadership and critical thinking skills.

I spent 8 months working as a host/expo/busser at JINYA Ramen Bar in Chandler, AZ. This allowed me to explore and experiment with multiple differing roles within the front of house of a restaurant. I developed a sense of urgency on nights that were particularly manic and understand fully the necessity for communication within any business. I have also had a few months experience in retail and lifeguarding. Both of which taught me the basic professionalism needed within the job sector.

I am currently studying abroad at Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, England. At the end of my third year I will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
