Sophie Patterson

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for skate and surf culture and streetwear. I may not have extensive retail experience, but I am a quick learner with a strong work ethic. I worked for the City of Santa Rosa as a lifeguard and swim instructor for 2 years, before moving to Placer County a month ago.

I also am a certified junior rescue scuba diver, and am currently working to become an underwater photographer. The high-stress environments i have worked in have equipped me with the ability to adapt and thrive under pressure. I’m dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and am eager to learn and grow within the Zumiez team.

I believe my enthusiasm and commitment will make a positive impact in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

I have valuable experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor for 2 years with the City of Santa Rosa, where I honed my skills in water safety, communication, and teaching swimming techniques to diverse age groups. Additionally, I served as an assistant dive master while living in the Philippines with Alona Divers Dive Shop, where I gained hands-on experience in underwater safety and guiding recreational dives. This background has equipped me with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering safe and enjoyable aquatic experiences.

I am a junior in high school at Granite Bay High School, with a 3.5 GPA, and I serve as a teacher assistant, where I actively support educators and engage with students.
