Duties and Initiatives: Developed Professional Learning for teachers, serving Reception to L5. Also, mentored novice and veteran teachers, assisted teachers with Professional Learning Plans, modeled lessons, reviewed student data with teachers, and served on School Leadership team. During this position, I also helped develop the District Literacy Plan, working closely with Administration.
Present position-Literacy Lab Instructor, serving Reception to Level 4 students. I designed the Lab to serve as a model classroom. The Lab integrates all Literacy Strands, along with History, Geography, and Writing. Hand on Projects/performance tasks are present within each unit of study. Novel units of study and Digital Literacy Projects are also part of the Literacy Lab instruction.
I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, with certifications in Exceptional Child (Reception to age 18), a Reading Endorsement Certification (Reception to age 18), and Teacher Support Specialist Certification.
