Ted Doherty

My goal is to design products that are both practical and visually appealing. My background in painting and Illustrating has served as a foundation for my passion in Industrial design. This experience sharpened my eye for detail and composition, enabling me to approach design with a strong understanding of visual harmony. I let my creativity guide me through challenges, turning obstacles into opportunities. I have hands-on experience with CAD software and prototyping. I am a receptive and adaptable designer. I enjoy understanding new concepts or software and applying them to my work. When collaborating, I keep an open mind and challenge others to reach their full potential

I worked at West Marine as a Sales Advertiser. I Designed and Illustrated seasonal deals and membership opportunities. I brainstorm the best possible graphic, then transfer it to a visual aid. I work fast to make sure my advertisement is effective and done by the end of my shift. I study my companies website and fliers to match the exact brand.

I have studied three years at Rochester Institute of Technology, with a major in Industrial Design and a minor in Advertising and Marketing. In the Spring of 2025, I am studying design for 16 weeks abroad at Elisava, School of Design and Engineering, in Barcelona Spain.
