I entered the utility construction industry shortly after graduating high school. I began my career placing culinary water mains, sewer mains and storm drains. A short time later, I entered the directional drilling industry and began placing pipe and conduits for utilities including power and telecommunication lines.
I worked my way from a laborer to drill operator, and then to a crew foreman. I eventually moved into management as a project manager, then worked my way up to Vice President of Operations for a local telecom construction company in Utah. I eventually branched out and started my own company.
During my years in the industry, I have used many types of computer programs and construction equipment and have successfully installed hundreds of miles of cable(s) and conduit(s). I have also installed various types of underground hand-holes, fixtures and manholes for numerous providers. I have been certified in confined space.
I currently hold a S410 Utah contractor’s license, and I am registered in the state of Colorado and Montana as well. In addition, I also hold a valid Class-A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
I successfully climbed the corporate ladder from drill operator to president and owner of my own company. Over the past two and a half decades, I have honed my management skills while supervising telecommunication utility infrastructure projects (directional drilling teams, excavating teams, fiber placement teams, and aerial construction teams). I am a dedicated professional with a strong desire to succeed in everything I do.
I work tirelessly to be a success in my chosen field of expertise. I am highly motivated with a positive attitude regarding my goals and objectives. I have excellent communication skills and am adept at successfully analyzing situations, both internally with my colleagues and externally with clients, ensuring win-win outcomes while mitigating risk and maximizing return on investment.
I graduated high school early in 1998, and immediately entered the work force. I did take some technical training classes in 2000 at Davis Technology College when I was a co-op student working for the department of defense at Hill Air Force Base where I worked in the radar division on dual-mode transmitters for missile guidance systems on aircrafts.
