I have performed Quality Assurance at various levels from beginner to leadership over the last 20 years. Beginning in the Air Force, then as DOD employee for the Army and now as a Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) QAS.
Performs as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) conducting surveillance and evaluations for DCMA for two years, Acquisition Category One (ACAT1) programs and Critical Safety Items (CSI). With experience as a resident and geographical hybrid QAS for the Department of Defense. I have supported the Department of Defense (DOD), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Facilitate customer satisfaction, team empowerment, sharing of best practices, implementation of new and revised policies, as well as continuous improvement among functional specialists. Responsible for providing and coordinating in-plant supplier quality assurance oversight. Perform pre-inspection, in-process, final test, and final inspection. Write/review technical reports for accuracy and forward monthly data reports covering all production and quality findings. I brief upper-level meetings with buying commands and contractor personnel. Assist and train new and current employees with the use of DCMA programs, policies, general operations, inspection techniques and precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc). Lead and mentor less experienced QAS's in developing risk-based surveillance plans, QA programs, and administering risk assessment and surveillance strategies. Promote implementation of the quality assurance methodology.
