I am a soon to be college graduate with a bachelors degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in sculpture. I have worked on student film sets for half my college career earning my place as lead prop and effects artist in my university's film club. I have also been working for an escape room company since I was 17, with a specialty in prop making and repair.
For official jobs, I have worked for Red Door Escape Room for five years with experiences that vary from customer service to design team repairs. Design team repairs can range from painting/ paint matching to mechanical repairs (such as repairing/ replacing locks, or installing new railings for drawers or sliding doors).
I have also worked on various film sets fabricating props and sfx. Most notably working on a feature length film called “The Fuzzies” in the art department, creating various set dressing decorations.
With my sculpture emphasis in university, my primary focus has been on methods and materials. I have learned in class settings how to work with a wide variety of materials as well as the dangers that come with said materials. I have about three years of shop experience in wood shop and metal shop with a secondary focus on mold making and sewing.
I have additionally taken stage building classes in an attempt to learn more about the more precise and analytical strategies of building, and while I may not be able to build a functional rocket, I can put together decent stage platform and can read a blueprint.
