I have five years of experience working as a chef in environments focused on serving and supporting people in need. For three of those years, I worked with the The Salvation Army as a cook and dietary aide. During that time, I was responsible for preparing nutritious meals, assisting with dietary needs, and helping ensure that clients received food that was both healthy and prepared with care.
I also worked for one and a half years at the Coalition for the Homeless as a cook and dietary aide. In this role, I continued preparing meals for clients while being mindful of dietary restrictions and nutritional needs. I took pride in making sure each meal was not only nourishing but also served with compassion.
What I enjoy most about my work as a chef is helping clients who are in need of a healthy, warm meal. I value building relationships with the people I serve and letting them know that their meals are prepared with love, respect, and genuine care. Being able to provide comfort through food and human connection is one of the most meaningful parts of the work I do.
