With over 15 years of experience working with youth, I have spent the last 4 years as a clinical social worker, dedicated to serving populations affected by systemic oppression. My approach is rooted in strengths-based, trauma-informed care, driven by a deep passion for making a meaningful impact. I am also keenly interested in exploring opportunities in Macro and Mezzo roles, as well as administrative positions within non-profit organizations.

I've worked in the mental health/youth services field for over 15 years. I've held positions such as behavioral interventionist, camp counselor, high school coach, mental health clinician, health information specialist, crisis clinician, and intake coordinator. I've done administrative work including quality assurance for internal and external audits, MediCal billing, upkeeping electronic health records, community outreach, policy creation, and creating marketing tools/presentations.

I've also worked in clinical positions serving adults, transitional-aged youth, and children by providing therapy. I have experience using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), collaborative assessment and management of suicidality (CAMS), motivational interviewing (MI), and narrative therapy. I am passionate about providing trauma-informed care, utilizing a relational model, and empowering people through client-centered care.

Currently, I serve as a Clinician at Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, where I specialize in providing individual and family therapy to young people aged 10-25 grappling with acute or chronic suicidal ideation. Additionally, I co-facilitate therapeutic groups for adult survivors of suicide attempts, helping all participants report improved symptoms and complete crisis line shifts supporting people of all ages. This role also includes program development and outreach tasks, including creating marketing content, participating in presentations and tabling events to garner referrals, and co-creating policies and procedures.

Previously, as an Intake Coordinator at Side by Side, I conducted comprehensive assessments for current and former foster youth, ensuring accurate eligibility determinations and maintaining meticulous records. I also supported with financial outreach, getting back hundreds of thousands of dollars in back pay. I stepped in to optimize work flow systems and was promoted to train other staff in clinical documentation.
