With a strong background in Geography, GIS and Environmental Science and extensive experience in both academic and professional settings, I am confident in my ability to make a positive impact.
My academic journey began at Folsom Lake College, where I developed a solid foundation in general education studies and discovered my passion for science, specifically geography and philosophy. This interest led me to California State University, Sacramento, where I earned a B.A. in Geography with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems and Analysis. Through advanced courses in Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Programming for GIS, I honed my technical skills and learned to apply them in real-world contexts.
In my professional roles, I have excelled in creating map layouts, analyzing data, and interpreting laws and regulations. These experiences have strengthened my problem-solving abilities and my capacity to work independently while being an effective team player. Additionally, my proficiency in using modern computer programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook will enable me to efficiently manage classroom tasks.
I am a father of two and a husband and am eager to start my career.
My work experience with the Department of Forestry & Fire Protection has further developed my ability to conduct thorough research, analyze data, and collaborate with diverse teams. These skills are directly transferable to the classroom, where I can create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students.
