I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Memorial College and am studying for my master’s degree in Social Work at Walden University. I have been in working in social services for 23 years as a mental health counselor, career counselor, child dependency case manager, recovery plan coordinator, and program specialist.
I currently work as a case manager for Memorial Healthcare Community Youth Services CAT (Community Action Team) to prevent the need for out-of-home care of juveniles and ensure that they are receiving behavioral health and mental health services. During my career, I have conducted visits for clients in the home, medical, and community, intakes, and psycho-social assessments, treatment plans, case notes, referrals, and follow-up in community and therapeutic services to clients in their homes and facilities assisted in making referrals to community, and medical and mental health service organizations. I have also conducted mental health awareness and anger management counseling sessions.
Additionally, I worked for Smith Community Mental Health in Plantation, FL, Centene – Sunshine Health in Sunrise, FL, and others.
