Hi! I'm Vanessa! I've been in the food and beverage industry since 2011. I love so many things about this industry. I love how it's always evolving and how there's always something new to learn. I love how affected food and drink is by culture (I spent most of my 20s traveling the country and learning about how different cultures affect food).
I love all the interactions I have with guests and all of the relationships I build. I think my most recent passion though is getting to share my passion with my staff members. Helping them grow and helping them achieve their goals is so special!
I've worked as a host, a busser, a dishwasher, a food runner, a Maitre'D, a server, a barback, a bartender, a expo, and now a manager. I've also worked with chefs on menu concepts, menu design, storytelling, and allergy sheets.
I'm one semester away from a bachelors degree in European History with a minor in literature (not actively enrolled). I think I really love culture and it's been really fascinating to attribute that to this industry and how it affects food and drink.
