Send a job offer directly to this candidate
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Veronica Carvajal, and I am a recent graduate of the Masters of Global Health program offered by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health Research and the Universitat de Barcelona. Prior to this, I have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and specialized in Biology. I have also acquired a PGcert in environmental conservation to supplement the environmental sciences knowledge obtained during my undergraduate program.
I am passionate about One Health approaches to health, where dynamics of human, animal and environmental sciences are not only considered but prioritized in research.
Professionally, I have worked primarily in non-profit organizations in program specialist and coordination roles, where responsibility is high, workload is heavy, and resources are limited. I have research experience from both undergraduate and postgraduate studies where I have designed and completed systemic reviews. I have vast experience in both writing and presenting scientific material.
My masters program was interdisciplinary and ranged from fundamental topics in global health such as health economics, policy and governance, to advanced topics such as epidemiology, infectious diseases and environmental health. I have a strong academic record, graduating at the top of my masters program. The multidisciplinary nature of my educational background enables a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to tackling health issues.
I learn quickly and am happiest in positions that require continuous growth in knowledge. To my responsibilities I bring determination, organization and comprehensive thinking: continually asking “Why?”and consistently searching for answers beyond what is presented. I hope to grow with an organization that enables continual development as a health scientist.
Kindly,
