Victoria Brennick

Hi, I'm Victoria! I am currently a 3rd-year student studying Computer Science and Design at Northeastern University. I'm primarily interested in Product Management and my classes have given me a solid background in Software Engineering and Product Design to effectively manage a Product team.

I have experience in leadership positions, strategic team leading and hiring, front-end development, and I have an eye for creative and beautiful UI/UX design. In my past experiences being a Product Manager I've had the opportunity to have full ownership over projects which involves gaining a full technical understanding of the product, building out product schedules and roadmaps, running a lot of meetings, and getting the right people together in a room to solve really ambiguous problems. In my work, I always focus on the user and think about how we can augment their experience.

I'm passionate about building products that users love and make their everyday life easier!

Aside from academics, I enjoy hiking (I recently got a car to go on solo trips!), going to live music shows, watercolor painting, and reading. I am also an avid wildlife and landscape photographer.

Currently, I am seeking a co-op (July-December 2023) as a Product/Program Manager at a company that aligns with my interests.

Software Director May 2022 – Present

• Oversee a total of 9 multidisciplinary software projects, including managing Project Leads with teams of engineers and designers; support Software Architect and Design Chiefs that advise all projects
• Implement organization-wide changes such as product management trainings and adding department-wide timelines; establish required project charters with risk mitigation and project schedules, etc.
• Work with leaders to enable team growth and delivery of scalable and market-ready software products

• Led a team of 4 working on improving team’s documentation hub; scheduled standup, managed project timeline and competing priorities; served as liaison with stakeholders
• Demonstrated effective communication skills by articulating complex technical topics to stakeholders
• Designed a newsletter with business changes and milestones for a department of 4000+ employees
• Created and presented an interactive Data Studio dashboard to allow leadership to make data-driven
• business decisions based on customer support metrics

Product Manager December 2021 – May 2022

• Managed a team of 11 engineers and designers to develop client’s online tutoring marketplace web app
• Collaborated with client and internal stakeholders to develop project scope and hire engineers and designers
• Worked with technical lead and design lead in planning tasks, communicating product visions
• Created project schedules, assigned tasks, and monitored product roadmap using Trello board

Software Engineer September 2021 – December 2021

• Collaborated with developers to build the registration/login flow using Firebase authentication

Project Lead & Designer July 2021 – August 2021

• Managed and mentored a team of 8 working on web design and marketing projects
• Assigned tasks, monitored performance, and communicated progress and problems to management
• Effectively strategized business goals, deadlines, market research, and user experience
• Designed high-fidelity prototypes for website using knowledge of non-profit food bank’s customer needs
