With experience working in both commercial and non-profit cultural institutions, I have developed a strong understanding of the contemporary art world and a professional customer service mindset. Through my studies, I have pursued my passion for community building and my love for visual culture and art, and solidified a strong foundation in art history and art theory. As an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual, I am excited to bring my communication, administration, management, writing, and research skills to contribute to the success of the team.
I gained valuable experience and further developed my organizational, communication, management, and writing skills during my time working at a prominent commercial gallery in Korea. Currently, I am leveraging these skills as an intern at the Korea Society, situated in the heart of Manhattan's Midtown, where I am actively involved in various projects within the Development and Arts & Culture Department.
I pursued my passion for art and deepened my understanding of aesthetics through my major in Aesthetics. This academic journey provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of philosophy and theories related to art and beauty. To complement my theoretical background, I pursued a Master's degree in Museum Studies, which broadened my perspective on the practical and specialized aspects of the art and exhibition industry.
This international program equipped me with a global view and a practical skill set, enhancing my ability to contribute effectively to the field.
