I am a a compassionate, reliable, and hardworking care professional with experience working in residential care homes for elderly residents. I am skilled in supporting individuals with various needs, supporting dignity and safety, helping in challenging situations, and working effectively as part of a team. I consider myself to be calm under pressure with strong communication skills.

Care Assistant at Marton Care Homes (2023-07 – Present)

I currently work as a night shift care assistant at Langley Park Care Home which is owned by Marton Care Homes. During my working hours I carry out personal care on residents who live within the home. I have experience with dementia care and end of life care.

Not only do I assist with their daily personal care. I also help the residents with meals, assisting to the toilet and baths. I also encourage independent care where possible. I have looked after residents with various illnesses, such as Parkinson’s, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s, mental health issues, diabetes, and more.

During my working hours I also have to make sure the building is secure, I assist with the cleaning of the home to maintain infection control. I also help the senior carers whenever we have any emergencies such as falls or ill health.
